How it all came about...
Hi, I’m Jill! I’m passionate about building stronger communities and supporting incredible causes. I’m a proud advocate for a community interest company that helps survivors of CSE/CSA and domestic violence (Becky's Haven), as well as another that supports those enduring PTSD (Beyond Trauma™). These organisations do amazing work but often struggle to get the exposure they deserve due to limited funding. I wanted to find a way to address this challenge while also helping local businesses thrive. That’s how the idea for 'Locals Spotlight' was born—a way to "combine efforts for greater impact." By bringing local businesses together, we can make advertising affordable for everyone and channel support towards life-changing initiatives. It’s a win-win: local businesses grow, and vital organisations get the backing they need. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the community and can’t wait to see the incredible connections we’ll build together.
